About Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Andaman and Nicobar islands, one of the seven union territories of India, is located at the juncture of Bay of Bengal and Andaman Seas. It is a group of exotic nature-rich islands, where you will find people from many parts of India along with the local indigenous tribes. Andaman &Nicobar is an archipelago consisting of 570 islands, of which only 36 are permanently inhabited. This tropical Islands with 86% of land area under green forest cover, is a gaudy destiny of the travellers. The capital city Port Blair hosts the A&N administration and the first integrated tricommand of the armed forces of India. The main place to visit in and around Port Blair includes Cellular Jail, Ross Island, Viper Island, Wandoor and Chidiyatappu beaches etc. Havelock Island, which is 41 kms from Port Blair, has the Radha Nagar Beach, which is identified as Asia's Best Beach.
